Samuel is graduating!

Time has flown by!  When I met Samuel in 2011 he was a boy with big dreams and no options. This July Samuel is graduating from Kenya Methodist University with a bachelors degree in computer science.

In a letter to one of his sponsors, Samuel wrote, “‘I wanted to seize this opportunity to say thank you. Indeed the R.E.A.D organization has rekindled my long lost dreams of becoming a re known software developer in Kenya and I’m indeed short of words with which to express my feelings of excitement. My mother who works on a hand to mouth basis in our remote rural place in Kenya could not have dreamt of me ever finishing my O-levels leave alone the degree that I’m now talking about. That’s why I studied my O-levels at By Grace Disabled and Orphans center Where luckily Kayli, the president of the R.E.A.D, found me and my other brothers and sisters and intervened. I’m planning to do the same once I establish myself because I’ve understood completely the plight of those who have zealous passion to succeed but unfortunately there is none to offer them the much needed hand. I’ll be graduating on July and I just want to acknowledge that you have played a great role in enabling me achieve my academic dreams. Thanks so much.”

Samuel has a wealth of drive and determination, I can’t wait to see the man that he becomes!
